THE IRL BACKPACK
Hello, it’s Gunrun! You may know me as the innovator behind the original IRL Backpack design and co-founder of UnlimitedIRL.
In 2017, I created this DIY guide to help aspiring streamers build their own mobile live streaming backpacks, marking the inception of the IRL Backpack. The Gunrun IRL Backpack guide served as a significant stepping stone in the evolution of mobile live streaming, fostering a community of DIY enthusiasts crafting their own IRL Backpacks and the creation of live content previously not possible. In 2020, as I became busy with my work at Vshojo, I made the decision to discontinue the guide and now direct interested streamers to IRL backpack solutions through UnlimitedIRL.
That being said, the spirit of the DIY guide lives on. For those interested in building their own streaming setup, the LiveU Solo —a main component of the IRL Backpack—remains a viable option. This allows creators to tailor their own streaming solutions, echoing the original ethos of the IRL Backpack. The Gunrun discord is available where many discuss, share and explore custom IRL Backpack setups.
